SABANEWSID.com – Setelah menundukkan PSV Eindhoven 4-0 di matchday pertama, Arsenal akan menghadapi RC Lens di partai kedua fase grup Liga Champions, Rabu (4/10) dini hari WIB. Diakui Mikel Arteta, Arsenal akan bersiap menghadapi ujian sulit.
Lens sendiri merupakan runner up Ligue 1 musim lalu. Namun musim ini tim Prancis itu menjalani start dengan kurang mulus dan harus puas menduduki peringkat 15 di klasemen sementara Ligue 1 hingga pekan ini.
Meski diunggulkan meraih kemenangan, mengingat tren performa yang mengesankan dalam beberapa laga terakhir, Arteta menilai Arsenal akan tetap menghadapi ujian yang berat di Stade Bollaert-Delelis.
“Saya sangat terkesan dengan apa yang sudah mereka tunjukkan tahun lalu. Merupakan hasil yang luar biasa bisa finis di peringkat tersebut, dan cara mereka melakukannya, performa yang mereka tunjukkan di kandang sendiri. Musim ini mungkin mereka sedang tidak beruntung dengan hasil akhir. Saya tak tahu bagaimana mereka bisa tidak mendapatkan poin lebih banyak, jadi kami berharap akan menghadapi pertandingan besar besok,” ujar Arteta.
Terlepas dari hasil yang ditunjukkan di klasemen, Arteta tetap beranggapan Lens sebagai tim yang bagus dan bisa membuat Arsenal kerepotan.
“Kami sangat tahu apa yang sudah mereka tunjukkan. Mereka tim yang bagus dan kami akan menjalani ujian berat besok,” tandasnya.
Arteta juga menyambut kembali sejumlah pemainnya yang sempat bermasalah dengan cedera, seperti Thomas Partey, yang absen di enam partai terakhir, atau Bukayo Saka yang sempat bermasalah dengan cedera di akhir pekan.
“Partey menunjukkan perkembangan yang sangat baik dalam dua pekan terakhir, dan dia mampu berlatih di dua atau tiga hari terakhir bersama tim. Hal itu menjadi kabar yang menggembirakan buat kami pastinya,” ujar Arteta.

“Dia sudah menunjukkan perkembangan dan dia sangat bagus dalam beberapa pekan ini. Partey adalah pemain besar dan kami tahu apa yang bisa diberikannya buat tim.”
“Sementara Saka, kondisi baik, dia sudah jauh lebih baik. Tentu dia mengalami hantaman keras, tapi dia sudah pulih dengan baik dan kembali berlatih hari ini. Senang bisa melihatnya kembali siap dan kami akan mengambil keputusan besok,” tandasnya.
