SABANEWSID.com – Indonesia memastikan lolos ke putaran kedua Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026 setelah melewati hadangan Brunei Darussalam. Dalam dua pertemuan, skuat Garuda memetik kemenangan 6-0. Agregate gol keunggulan pun menjadi 12-0.
Hasil tersebut pun membuat pelatih Shin Tae Yong senang. Bukan hanya karena skor mencolok yang dipetik pemainnya, tapi juga performa secara keseluruhan yang tidak lengah di sepanjang laga.
“Walaupun datang ke away, tetap tidak lengah. Jadi saya ucapkan terima kasih kepada pemain,” kata Shin Tae Yong seusai laga.
Mengenai komposisi skuat yang mengalami perubahan dari leg pertama, pelatih asal Korea Selatan itu menilai semua pemain sudah bekerja keras dan layak mendapatkan kesempatan bermain.
“Kami bandingkan skuad pertandingan pertama dengan yang kedua memang berbeda,” ujar Shin Tae Yong usai pertandingan.
“Hampir 70 persen yang diganti, para pemain sendiri memang bekerja sangat keras dan bermain dengan baik,” ucap Shin Tae Yong lagi.
Hokky Caraka, pencetak dua gol di pertandingan ini, juga memberikan kesan-kesannya di laga tersebut. Diakuinya dirinya senang bisa memberikan kontribusi nyata buat tim. Namun begitu dirinya masih ingin melihat permainan yang lebih baik di masa mendatang.
“Pertama-tama saya berterima kasih kepada coach STY telah mempercayai saya,” kata Hokky.
“Mungkin gara-gara kerja keras tim saya bisa mendapat hasil maksimal, semoga semakin ke sana semakin baik permainan kita,” tutupnya.

Indonesia sendiri lolos ke babak kedua Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026 setelah pada leg kedua di Stadion Hassanal Bolkiah, memetik kemenangan 6-0. Enam gol tersebut datang dari Hokky Caraka (6′ dan 44′), Egy Maulana Vikri (42′), penalti Witan Sulaeman (47′), Rizky Ridho (63′), dan M Ramadhan Sananta (82′).
Ada pun laga Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026 babak kedua zona Asia akan dilangsungkan mulai 16 November 2013 hingga 11 Juni 2024. Indonesia berada di Grup F bersama Irak, Vietnam, dan Filipina.
